Description
The Ford Motor Company boasts that every Transit is built for purpose and the smaller Ford Transit Connect is no exception with a large cargo capability lending itself to all sorts of commercial van users. Shaped by Ford kinetic design, the van has improved aerodynamics for greater fuel efficiency and high-tech lights for greater visibility. Component parts have also been designed for easy service and replacement. Oxford have replicated the Ford Transit throughout its evolution from the early ‘box on wheels’ to this latest streamlined body shape, which looks really good with its bold contemporary styling.
Our Ford Transit Connect features the very clean modern white with red/blue Network Rail livery. Registered BN07 GUO, it represents a vehicle from Network Rail’s Response Unit. Against the white body, the interior, external trim and chassis are all black. Additional decoration includes the diagonal red and orange stripes across the back doors and the tiny blue Ford badge on the front radiator grille and the offside rear door.
It’s all ready for action as a lineside vehicle on your N gauge layout!
Our 1:148 scale model comes on a plinth, in clear case and can be removed for railway modelling.
